Definitely not a "champion" moving company.

This review is directed to:

Mr. Moshe Alosh, Owner

Ms. Tonya Everson, Office Manager

Ms. Yadira Castillo, Claims

I hired Champion Movers for my relocation and deeply regret that decision. During the move, their crew damaged my flooring. When I contacted them about the damage, they acknowledged it but offered an insulting $100 to cover the repairs, nowhere near the actual cost of fixing the damage they caused.

I provided them with estimates showing the real cost of repairing the flooring, but they refused to budge from their lowball offer. $100 doesn't even begin to cover the expense of professional flooring repair, and they know it. This feels like they're hoping I'll just give up and accept their token gesture rather than doing the right thing and covering the damage their company caused.

When you hire movers, you trust them to handle your belongings and your home with care. Champion Movers failed at both. Even worse, when they made a mistake, they refused to make it right. Their unwillingness to stand behind their work and take responsibility for damage they caused speaks volumes about how they do business.

I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your moving needs. There are plenty of moving companies in Las Vegas that will actually take responsibility when something goes wrong. Save yourself the headache and the expense, don't make the mistake I did.

Very Pleased.

The communication was smooth as they gave me a quote, and moved me as soon as I needed them. I managed to snag a little bit of savings by talking to Lauren who is such a wonderful representative for the business. Will move with them again, but hopefully not soon because it's exhausting to move!

Do yourself a favor, find another mover.

My experience with this company is very much the same as the previous review by Matthew Shannon. The guys who came out to pack and load our stuff was phenomenal and we tipped them very generously for the job well done. That's where their great service ended!

This company will tell you that your move will be handled by their own employees, from origination to destination. That's a big lie and don't believe anything they tell you. True, the guys who came out and pack our stuff were their employees. The guys who delivered them were some guys from Florida driving a truck with no marking so we had no idea who they actually work for.

Our stuff was picked up on 6/30/18 and it took more than a month when we finally have them delivered on 8/2/18. About a week before pick up their dispatcher will call you and go over the move process and advise that it will take 7-14 business days from the date you're available to accept delivery. On the day of pickup the foreman will ask you again what your first available pick up date will be and you're then advised that it will take up to 21 business days from that date when you're first available. This is very confusing because it's completely different from what their dispatcher tell you when they call.

On delivery day 2 local hands showed up in their own vehicle, the truck arrived about 15 minutes later for delivery. We felt happy and relieved that after waiting for more than a month our belongings finally arrived. This feeling is short-lived because the guys who brought in our stuff and put together our furniture were terrible, all they care about was to get it done as fast as possible so they can get on the road. They left so fast we didn't have enough time to inspect the furniture for damage and proper assembly so we found out after they've left that most of the furniture had damages and weren't put together right. Our king platform bed had screws missing, support legs unattched and laying on the floor beneath the bed. Our antique altar table had multiple cracks, our work desk had deep gashes on the surface and scratches along the edge, our king bed had a rip on the side, our dining table was wobbly due to screws not being tightened enough, etc.

About 10 minutes after they've left I called the dispatcher and explained the problems and asked her to contact the truck driver and have them come back. The truck driver called me and basically was screaming on the phone saying that there was nothing more they could do, that everything was put back together correctly, that the screws were stripped but they were put back where they belong. I told him that was a lie and said if he turn around I can show him the results of their sloppy, lazy, unethical work. The driver hung up on me. Seems to me they contracted out my move a couple of thugs from Florida who couldn't care less about their customers. As a result of their sloppiness I had to spend 1/2 day going to Home Depot to obtain the missing screws in order to properly secure our king platform bed. It will cost me another few days to file a claim for all the damages to our furniture.

I personally don't think Champions care much about their reputation and I will make sure this review is posted here and every other moving sites I can find, along with the BBB. Companies like these do not deserve another customer.

No attempt to resolve the issues!

Not only did Champion movers/Winston Romo not complete my schedule move, they also left my apartment in complete shambles and lied about their willingness to complete the job! They left behind at least 50+ items and wanted more money just to talk about a resolution.Their exact text response to me after asking to talk about the issue was (NOOO!) refusing to mediate-refusing to talk and demanding more money was the only route they would consider. I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB,FMCSA,and DMV. Champion movers/Winston Romo refused to address my issue one on one, I only wanted them to finish the job they promised to do. After sending them pictures and almost pleading for help- they turned a blind eye! If I can protect the next person or family experiencing these unsavory business dealing by champion movers/Winston Romo I feel it is my duty.

Stay Away From This Company!

This was THE worst experience I have ever had with a company bar none!
The guys that came to pick up my items were great after that I have nothing good to say unfortunately!
They told me 14 days for delivery which is one of the main reasons I went with them since they were not the cheapest option. "We are professionals not middle men". After 2 weeks I called to see where my positions where and if they had a delivery date for me yet. No-one seemed to know where exactly me positions where and could not tell me when the delivery was going to be.
30 days later they finally managed to figure our a delivery date so I had lived in my apartment for 2 weeks with NOTHING!
Then comes the payment..my company was paying for the move and this should have been simple however they couldn't seem to figure our how to bill them instead of me and ended up calling me at 10pm on Friday night the day before my delivery to tell me if I did not pay the final balance over the phone immediately I would not receive my delivery the next day. So I was forced to use my credit card to pay them.
Then comes delivery day. The driver was 2 hours late and exceptionally rude. the came in with papers that he had me sign and said "I've been calling you!" which was not true. Then he left and I never saw him again. Then 2 different guys, no uniforms or anything start moving my stuff in. The first thing the strange man with all my belongings says is "You're gunna tip us right?" To which I told him I already paid one the phone the night before and there was a service charge. HE was not happy with that and said that's for the driver not us. The continued to move my items. I paid for unpacking of the larger items and furniture assembly. The did none of that and when I asked them to, the man took the headboard into the bedroom and while trying to cut the tap stuck his knife into the fabric head board. The also dropped all my plates and smashed almost all of them, their open back truck in Florida was not a controlled environment as promised by the company so my candles were all melted to liquid. The even delivered a box which had my books in it open top and bottom with a few bits of paper left inside. I was a 28 year old woman alone with these 2 men while they moved my belongings, they made me uneasy and upset in my new home and basically damaged or destroyed all of my belongings and then followed me down stairs to the ATM so I had to tip them. Their tuck was outside old and rusted and one was drinking while he waited.
I called the company immediately and the lady that answered was very helpful and apologetic but that's as far as I got. The claim company was a joke, all my larger items that were damaged some how managed to get excluded from the compensation, it took a year for them to send me a check for $184.00 for all my damages. I paid for a service I did not get and was never reimbursed for this and they have stopped answering my calls and emails. I have been in contact with them over the year constantly and no-one was willing to help me and now they have completely stopped answering. I was promised that once the claim company settled their amount then Champion would add money to that amount since I clearly did not get a professional service or what I paid for and this was such a bad experience. This never happened!
Every box they delivered was damaged, every piece of furniture damages, they lost all my book and the service is disgusting.

This is the absolute worst lying company.

I still have no furniture after 48 days, these people I can't say enough bad about them, they have ticked me off and ripped me off, inflated their bid, took advantage and will bleed every dollar they can. then the only 5 star is their manager in dispatch to deceive you even further, read about Tonya Everson and then call them, anything to get a haul by deception. These people need a good lawsuit, and I'm the one to teach them a lesson

They lie about delivery dates, they don't answer their phone and all they can say is read your contract, Fraud nothing but fraud.

Worse Movers Ever

I would recommend you try to move move yourself before hiring these clowns. I have moved several times over the past 10 years and this was the absolute worst moving expereince. First of all we received a quote for our move and it was estimated at $3,700 and we agreed to it. When the movers came and packed up the truck, the price changed from $3,700 to $5,700. I was in complete shock. They mentioned a number of reasons for the price increase which didn't make any sense to me. The estimate they give you is just to get you in the door. Remember, the sales person is only trying to get you to sign on. Next, the actual move was horrible. I could have found better moving guys on a parking lot by lowes. They broke the leg on one of our dressers and they just said file a claim. Next, they drilled holes through our diningroom table when they were putting it back together. We filed a claim and there is some fine print in the contract about the replacement costs when they cause damage. Our table costs $1,500 dollars and they only offered us $60 based on the weight of the table. This was a complete joke. I know this is a long note but do not go anywhere near this company.

Worst moving company ever.

They quoted me one price, and I ended up paying almost double. I had thrown things OUT since the quote, so I can't imagine what they would have charged. They charged me 28 dollars for cardboard boxes, that they then used 3 to wrap a painting in. Three boxes!! They were very vauge on the terms, and what they told me verbally and what was on the contract was very different. Do not trust this company!! They will not even explain the pricing or let you see the contract until the truck is loaded up, and they are holding your stuff hostage. Read every line carefully!!

Long-distance move from Yuma, AZ to Apple Valley, CA

A company to stay away from.

Let me assure you that what I have written are the facts that took place and our interpretation. We moved from a single story home in Yuma to a two story town home in Minnesota.

Just like many others we searched the internet to find the most cost effective means to move from Yuma Arizona to Apple Valley Minnesota. We found Champion Movers to be one of the cheapest listed.

We asked that they be at our home in Yuma on 06/22/2017 to pack up and move us out. Champion never sent anyone out for a pre-inspection prior to the 22nd. At the end of the packing of our household goods, the driver claimed we had over 7,000 pounds and the cost to move this would be over $900.00 additional to what was estimated. The driver gave us two choices, sign off on his estimate or take a chance that it may turn out much higher after the weight is checked and pay even more. I refused to sign off on his estimate and told them I would wait until the truck is weighed and go with that. I was right to wait otherwise it would have cost that additional $900.00.

Champion movers asked for a delivery date at which time we requested 07/03/2017. The delivery driver did not arrive until 07/16/2017, 13 days later.

As the driver and his assistant brought items into the house we found items that were broken to include the glass on our curio cabinet. When we informed the driver of the damage to our items, the driver took out a document they use to add additional charges to the customs for the use of stairs and/or an elevator. With this document in his hands his words to use were “I could be a d** and charge you for this”. So we had to keep quiet about any damages they did.

Later while bringing in some larger items like a dresser, the driver wanted to use the elevator and asked my wife to show him how to get to the elevator. As my wife and the driver were walking around to the elevator the driver again used that same document to tell her that he could charge us an additional $620.00 dollars. When my wife asked if he planned to charge us that amount, the driver told her “no, but I would appreciate a very nice tip at the end”. When my wife got back inside the house, she immediately told myself, my son, and his girlfriend of the conversation that took place between her and the driver. At this point we felt that we had no choice but to pay a very nice tip to the driver to keep from being charged the additional $620.00, this is called “Extortion” and is an illegal activity, a felony.

To make sure we were covering this illegal activity I recorded the driver taking a $200.00 dollar tip from me and ensuring he would not charge us the additional $620.00. We also complained to him about the grease they brought in and the damage to the carpet with grease marks throughout the house.

I then contacted Champion Movers and spoke with the manager “Tonya”. I informed her of everything that had taken place and shew told me she would immediately talk to the owner. I tried for several days afterwards to get an answer from the owner, through Tonya but failed. Finally after a week of calling, Tonya informed me that she had spoken to the owner and that the bottom line was, they were backing the driver.

Since then I have spoken with our attorney who has given us a couple ways to handle all this and we are following her advice.

I would say that everyone stay away from this company as they will try their best to rip you off.

Terrible Company.

The company was great at the start getting everything set up. The guys that came and packed up the truck were excellent. Unfortunately it went downhill after that. Due to the circumstances of my move my stuff had to be warehoused instead of a direct move to the new location. Once I was able to set up the delivery, it took 5 additional weeks for them to actually bring it to me. When it finally did come several boxes had some damage on the outside, some of the drinking glasses were broken (even though they were filled with foam peanuts, wrapped in bubble wrap, and the entire box was itself was filled with foam peanuts and said fragile on the outside), and they had completely lost one of my items. Their customer service was terrible as well. Every time I called them about something and the person I needed to actually talk to was unavailable, they told me that they would have the person call me back - never once did the person actually call me back, I always had to keep calling them. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Move CA to WA.

Move late June from Tujunga, CA to Vancouver, WA:

Pickup was scheduled in early June for June 28-29. I was contacted June 26th and told pickup would be on 29th.

DELAYS - On the 27th Champion delays move to the 30th causing difficulties on my side.
• After loading, movers asked for a delivery date request which I gave July 3 and they advised would also be the ones delivering my things to Vancouver.
• Actual delivery did not happen until July 11, and Champion used a third party mover to make the delivery (I was never advised they would use third party mover).

DAMAGE - 3 Dressers were delivered damaged (casters snapped off and lower trim damaged) and mattress has abrasion marks. Boxes in general were in rough shape, probably due to multiple loadings/un-loadings.

MISSING ITEMS - I find 5 boxes are missing and not accounted for, and attempted to notify Champion on July 12th.
• Called Champion on multiple occasions since July 12th with no follow up from Champion’s customer service to my calls.
• Finally connect to Champion on 16th. I was assured by customer service they would check with the movers/storage warehouse and get back to me.
• No reply to date except for a response to my follow-up email stating they are “still looking” (…and that’s the last I heard from them).

SUMMED UP - I have made several long distance moves in the past without issues. Maybe Champion is OK to handle local moves, but for long distance moves I recommend they be avoided.

Unhappy with their service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They need to train or put employees that know what questions to ask about what would be moving. They were very confusing but Tonya and Summer was nice but didn't know exactly what they were talking about. The only person was truly helpful was the driver ANGEL. He broke it down for me so I could understand why my price went up. Never once did anyone ask me if I had heavy furniture or not plus I was told that I could keep my clothes in the drawers but had to take them out..smh. NEVER AGAIN !!They broke my wine glasses that was my mom's & special to me. They were pack with newspaper and bubble wrap. THE BOX WAS MARKED *FRAGILE-GLASS all over the box and two brand new tubs were broken !! One guy was asking for a tip..#WTF..I'll get two guys from home depot before I use them again.

Worst movers ever.

Hidden Fees, twists and turns, They push for cash over credit. I am in the middle of a move with Champion Movers. A few days before delivery they decide now that they will need to charge hundreds extra for a shuttle because my delivery is near water? Hundreds of semi-trucks drive down my road. They told me I had to pay the drivers the $400 directly in cash because that money is for the drivers who have to transport your things and move them to a shuttle. (Note: When I had my inital call I was told there could be additional charges for things like shuttling if the driver can't get the truck down a driveway, but at most like $100. When I reminded the customer service person of this conversation she simply said no one would have told me that was a ballpark. Yea, I was there you weren't lady.) I asked and re-asked when I signed the contract if I could pay 100% on credit cards. I was reassured I could, until now. If I wasn't annoyed with the unexpected $400 for shuttling I would be livid about the under-the-table cash payment they want to strong arm me into giving the drivers. You basically have all your belongings held hostage. They will deliver your stuff, but the business is a racket. In the end with hidden fees the quote I received from them that was way cheaper than a UHaul or other movers ended up increasing the the same level as if I had gone with a reputable company. I was originally told by customer service my furniture would arrive in Virginia 12/26, 27 or 28/2018. They called me and informed me about a week prior. I then heard from the driver on 1/1/19 that my furniture would arrive 1/3/19 around noon. In the afternoon I received a call that my furniture was yet again delayed and would arrive 1/4/19 between 8 am and 10 am. It is now 1 pm on 1/4/19 and no sign of my movers or furniture. My suggestion is to go with any other moving company than Champion Movers. They are unprofessional, inconsiderate and frankly a horrible company. I've taken two days off work to be home for the delivery and missing pay after already being charged an additional $400 this week by them (which they tried to demand in cash). Now I am losing pay too?!?!

You get what you pay for.

The people at Champion Movers are very nice. The sales people, the moving coordinator, and the movers are all very polite. However, nice only goes so far.

As others have said, the pick up and delivery dates are never clear until 24 hours before. That is frustrating.

What is more frustrating, they do not tell you everything up front. They charge for everything: stairs, steps from the truck to the door, etc.

Last, but not least, what infuriates me: they do not make it clear that if you end up taking fewer things than the original estimate indicates, you will still be charged for the original estimate. So if you sell all your things except 1 box, you will be charged for all the things you sold.

I cannot state strong enough that you need to use a different moving company. But if you are going to use them because they are cheap, be cautious and know you'll probably end up paying the same as a more expensive moving company in the end anyway.

Poor Dispatch Service.

We ended up canceling our contract with this company and hiring another due to false information provided upon signing our contract. The woman, Lauren, who booked our move two months before our move date was polite and informative, but two weeks before our move date we received a call from the dispatch department and spoke to Tanya who said that the policies on their delivery process, timeframe, and charges were different than what we were originally provided from Lauren. What is frustrating is that Tanya at the dispatch department did not take responsibility for the mistakes, but blamed in on the fact that Lauren didn't work in her department and so doesn't "know the real policies and prices." This was also super frustrating because prior we asked very specific and detailed questions to Lauren since we are moving across country amidst a pregnancy and other personal matters. Lauren said our belongings would take 7-12 days from when they picked up our items and would be delivered on or as close to the date that we gave them as possible. Also, the fine print in our contract did not say that there would be a storage charge or transfer charge. Tanya, however, said that we had to guarantee we would be at our new home by 7 days after the pick up date. Tanya said if we couldn't promise that, than it would be up to 14 days from the first date we said we were available before our things would arrive. Tanya also said that if they arrived before the 12 days and we weren't there, that we would be charged a $200 transfer fee for storage. Although the original contract said storage was free and Lauren never mentioned anything about a transfer fee. Tanya also was vague about some other potential charges about a shuttle truck for delivery, which would also be more charges. Tanya basically put us in a lose-lose situation where we had to promise a time frame for arrival that was unrealistic and then would be fined $200 for a transfer fee if we weren't there on that date, but might also have to wait another 14 days AFTER our projected arrival date. This means we would have a THREE WEEK WINDOW of not knowing when our things would arrive, and potentially be charged another $200! This is crazy. There are plenty of movers out there, no need to use this company. We ended up going with Black Bear Moving & Storage. We loved them! Very personal, friendly, professional, and just as affordable. Avoid!

Quoted $1850 to move my 1 bedroom.
Somehow this ballooned to $3063.

Now it's a week after my planned delivery date and I'm still waiting for my belongings. First Solomon promised me I would have my stuff last week. That didn't happen. Then Monica told me this Tues or Wed, and that didn't happen.

They don't bother to call or update me so I'm just sitting here waiting every day.

I will say the actual movers are good guys and did a great job. Of course that doesn't do me a whole lot of good while I'm living in a new town with no belongings.

These people are deceitful and disrespectful. Avoid at all costs.

Buyer Beware!

The moving company did show up on time and pack our furniture well, no issues there. Luckily because of previous issues with moving companies on different moves, my husband accompanied the truck to the weigh station while it was empty and then again after it was filled with our items. We received a copy of both weights. Our move was June 10, currently we have been advised the Movers will not be able to make it to deliver our items until June 23rd or June 24th. That is within the timeline defined in the contract, so while that is inconvenient it’s not a problem. The problem is they are trying to charge us for an additional 1200 lbs, which works out to $800. I probably would not use this company again because it takes so long for delivery and customer service is bad- giving attitude and not calling back when they said they would, and trying to overcharge us.
Update: The driver Alvin (that was tipped $50) lost our paperwork apparently that had the weight for the truck on it. So we sent our copies to Tonya, who passed the issue on to Tracy, her supervisor. With that un refutable evidence, they decided to change the price per pound from 0.66 cents to 0.69 cents. Summer, the customer service rep that initially took our quote, assured us multiple times it would be 0.66/lb. This is a sheisty, dishonest company- buyer beware!

I picked this company because they said they had secure storage that was climate controlled. I needed storage until I could find a home in WA. 4 cases of wine from all over the world, a box of expensive wine glasses and a shelf all not delivered to me. The goods were there less than 2 months. There is no recourse from this company. I threw out 2 waste cans of broken glass. The woman that quoted me a price was either fired or quit 2 weeks after I signed with them. This is the second time I posted a review and guess what--I can't find it.

Oh yes, they claimed the goods were placed in a locker and secure. Whoever was in charge of the key had a field day. I'm sure as I look for an item, it will be lifted by someone there. This company can not be trusted!!

Champion is The Mohammad Ali of Moving Companies.

Mohammad Ali was a fantastic boxer. He beat the crap out of his competition time and again. He jabbed, he hit, he destroyed and he pummeled. He threw punches with speed and accuracy, dropping his opponents to the ground mercilessly. That’s what made him a true champion.

And that’s exactly what you can expect from Champion Movers.

Treating your possessions like a powerful opponent in a boxing ring, the workers at Champion Movers will rip your boxes to shreds, scratch and mar your furniture, and go out of their way to damage, destroy, bend, break or smash everything you own with reckless abandon.

Just like a prize fighter, they will purposefully seek out your weaknesses – boxes marked “fragile,” for example – and toss them into piles or drop them on the ground. They’ll take your area rugs and bend them in half, knock the legs off your furniture, cut electrical cords, scrape and puncture your leather furniture, and crack the screens on your TVs.

Don’t bother complaining or protesting, though, as you watch the Champion workers mishandle your stuff. They’ll tell you “Don’t worry! It’s no big deal!” And from a prize fighter’s perspective, it really isn’t a big deal. That’s what they do. They destroy stuff.

And when you write to the corporate office to report that you’re missing boxes – but you found a box belonging to someone else – you should expect the same consideration and concern than Mohammad Ali would offer if his opponent were to complain about a headache after a fight. In other words, there will be no concern whatsoever. They’re Champion, after all. It’s their job to rough things up.

The bottom line is this: If you’re looking for a moving company that will treat your belongings with the same care, respect and consideration that Mohammad Ali demonstrated to his competitors in the boxing ring, then Champion Movers is the company for you.

Long-distance move from Minden, NV to Ridgefield, WA

Move west from Minden Nevada to Richfield Washington.

This was the worst move I have ever had!! They lost a painting worth 7k! They use lots and I mean lots of tape. They told me they just use the tape to start with then they turn it upside down and keep going. I had pussy willows which were not wrapped in paper and then secured with tape the tape was all around the pussy willows causing a lot of damage. We have lots of missing items also. The person that did the audit for our move underestimated it by half then we are on the hook because all our boxes are packed. He said that they had underestimated how many days it would take for them to do our house they thought it could be done in one day but it took them 20 and by the way all of our stuff was so heavy that was the reason for more money. They don’t transport your items to your new home they put them in the truck then they put them in storage then they transport them up to your home. The washer has a big scratch on it they put things in the dryer that We’re not secured It now has all sorts of marks inside that I’m not sure we can get rid of. We also had an antique mirror it went with a Chester drawers that was completely shattered. None of the boxes were marked so you would know what was in them or where they went. I gave them the Carpet rollers to roll my rugs up with but they didn’t do that they just roll them up tape the end and then folded them in half I’m still trying to get them to straighten out. I would never use this company if I would’ve known this is what they do we had a long distance out-of-state move and it was the worst move I’ve ever had I know I said that once but I was in the Air Force and I know what kind of moves can be done the correct way. When we tried to call back and talk to the lady who she would not take our calls and would not return our calls she had her secretary do it. I want someone there to realize that the painting that I had was a huge sentimental emotional attachment my cousin painted that and it was hanging in the Utah Museum of art it was a beautiful painting and I have no hope that I will ever see it again..don’t ever use this company if you don’t have to.

Late, broken items, poor customer service

HORRIBLE experience! Started off being over 3 hours late at pickup, although every time I called they said they were on the way. This meant they didn't get started driving until the following day. They assured me I'd still get my stuff the following day since that date was what the move was based on and I could have had them pick everything up a day early if they thought there would be delays.

Day 2, they notify me they are about half way (seemed to be good timing) around 11:30am so should arrive by 4pm. I ask if they have plastic to lay down and they said no, so I had to go buy plastic from Home Depot. I was told I would be reimbursed, but no response after I sent the receipt. At 4:30 I call the driver and they say they hit traffic and are still a few hours away but will still make it by 7pm. 6:30-they say it's too late and will have to come in the morning!! We were upset because we literally had NOTHING our 1st night in the house, slept on the floor etc...

Day 3, I'm thinking, okay they are here just need to drive to the house. I message them around 9am and they say they are 2 hours away!!!! WHAT?!!! Finally arrive at 11:30 and sit in the truck for 1/2 hour. Only 1 of the 2 wore a mask, and that one I assume to have been sick (maybe the cause for the delay on Saturday?) because he was in the bathroom over a half hour (didn't ask to use it) and I kept catching him sitting down on OUR furniture throughout the day!

When unloading I noticed they had boxed some loose items from our storage, and none of it was packed with any packing material and a few things were broke (glass, an air purifier). Also we had several other broken items: ripped upholstery, broken wooden support for a bed, hole in a bed drawer....the list goes on. Plus they did not wear gloves so all of our white furniture was black and filthy! I also had to yell "STOP" when they were unloading from the truck, as a long glass dresser top was sliding out of a packing blanket and about to snap if they kept tipping the dresser it was on. If I had not been watching, that would have been in pieces.

Before the final items were unloaded they requested the remaining balance (this was supposed to be calculated based on time spent and they had incorrect numbers and did not take off my upfront deposit). Why is there not someone in the office to handle this? I would think most moving happens on weekends and the drivers/movers should not be the ones doing the accounting. They had also told me on their drive up that I needed to have exact cash or a cashier's check. This was not relayed when I arranged the move. How was I supposed to have exact payment when it's based on how much time it was going to take them??

Overall, everything that could go wrong, did and we would never recommend this company to anyone! We've gone through a 3rd party settlement company who wants to offer us pennies (almost literally) for the damages, however the company has not responded and we have not received our measly check.

So it is my mission to make sure no one else has to experience what we did during an already stressful time!

Terrible

Champion Movers arrived in Las Vegas on schedule 4/7/21 to load truck, called to give me anticipated date of delivery to Chicago of 4/14/21. A few confirmation calls and updates--this is where everything took an awful turn. Arrogant driver of truck arrived on time thinking he was a prize to woman. My 16 year old daugher and i were shocked at how unprofessional he was while he was saying "this is my job, i've been doing this a long time and kept referring to the other men we were waiting on as "his guys". Well, "his guys" never showed up. Driver suggested we reschedule for 3 days later. That was unacceptable as we had slept the last 2 nights in a hotel and i had to begin my job 3 days later. He said "know anyone who can help us move you". So, I called my maintenance man at my complex along with my ex husband and his 16 year old son, my daughter-together, we moved everything into my 2nd story apartment. The driver did put 4 screws in my kitchen table & headboard, which later had to be redone before asking me for a tip! I had taken $200 out to tip what should have been the 4 professional-,even gave driver $20 as an insult and divided up the rest between my family of movers, as my family was unloading the truck he painstakingly folded his moving blankets.---Unpacking, at least 3 boxes and the table top for my outdoor table were no where to be found. The set is not usable with only a pedistal and benches. Filled out the insurance company CSIPROS forms--which btw is .60cents per pound--not per dollar as i had thought---claim denied. I have moved cross country twice now for a total of 5 moves and Champion Movers are by far the absolute worst movers I have dealt with. I so wish my other 2 movers had the availability I needed - but makes sense why Champion Movers schedule was wide open. Pay more, wait longer just do not make the same mistake---STAY FAR AWAY FROM CHAMPION MOVERS

Overall.

I'm not going into a lot of detail because I don't have all day to write this review. They are a bunch of liars and crooks from the estimator to their so called insurance company. For your own well being and your furnitures, stay away from this company!
